Winn-Dixie launches expanded online health and wellness resources with support from Mayo Clinic

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Winn-Dixie on Monday announced that its Web site www.winn-dixie.com would offer more health and wellness resources using information provided by the Mayo Clinic’s online site, www.MayoClinic.com.

Health and wellness information and recipes for healthful cooking from www.MayoClinic.com are now available on Winn Dixie’s homepage.

“Helping people live healthier lives is something Winn-Dixie is committed to, so this is a logical relationship for us,” Winn-Dixie director of electronic and customer marketing Anthony Agresta said. “In addition to offering our fresh produce, selections of naturals and organics, quarterly pharmacy wellness clinics, and supporting health-related organizations in our communities, offering credible health content from MayoClinic.com enables us to further help our customers make informed decisions about their health.”

In addition to the health and wellness information and recipes, Winn-Dixie customers will also find information on different health topics each month online as well as in the stores and advertising circulars.

Winn-Dixie will also feature a recipe of the month in its advertising circular and in its stores with pharmacies. The grocer has developed eight brochures with Mayo Clinic content on various health topics. MayoClinic.com supplies information on a variety of topics including asthma and allergies, breast cancer, cholesterol, cold and flu, diabetes, digestion, healthy diet, heart disease, men’s health, nutrition, sun safety that will be available to shoppers throughout the year.
