Pillsbury Baking debuts new cake mixes, frostings
Pillsbury Baking is bringing new flavors to bakers’ kitchens.
The Chicago-based brand announced that six new products, ranging from brownie and cake mixes to frosting, would be hitting shelves.
"Pillsbury’s Funfetti Frostings and Cake Mixes have been bringing families and friends together for birthdays, holidays and special moments big and small for decades," Dan Anglemyer, the COO of Hometown Food Company said. "We're thrilled to offer our Funfetti fans even more fun as we celebrate the 30th birthday of Funfetti this year. We are always looking to innovate and expand our product line to bring consumers what they're craving — like our beloved chocolate brownies — in a trendy new way. We hope bakers of all ages will enjoy these exciting new products as they bake up some delicious memories."
New additions to the brand’s portfolio include:
- Brownie Bark Mixes, which blend together Pillsbury’s brownie flavor with bark, and come in two flavors — chocolate chip and toffee;
- Funfetti Galaxy Frosting and Funfetti Yellow Cake Mix, which adds yellow and blue candy bits to the cake mix. The frosting contains yellow stars, orange moons, silver rocket ships and white sprinkles; and
- Funfetti Unicorn Frosting and Funfetti Strawberry Cake Mix, which brings blue and purple fruit-flavored candies to the cake mix, as well as a bright pink color. The frosting features purple and pink unicorns, yellow stars and blue and pink sprinkles.
Shoppers can find Pillsbury’s Brownie Bark Mixes and Funfetti Unicorn and Galaxy Frostings and Cake Mixes in the baking aisle of retailers nationwide. The Brownie Bark Mixes retail from $2.50 to $3.50 each, and the Funfetti frostings and cake mixes together retail from $2.49 to $4.99.
