Publix extends pet medication availability to Georgia
Good news for pet parents in Georgia. Publix announced that it now has begun filling pet medication prescriptions in the state, which comes on the heels of the retailer previously sharing that pet medication prescriptions could be filled in the state of Florida.
Currently, the available medication categories include allergies, antibiotics, arthritis, anti-inflammatory, bronchitis, dry eye, ear, endocrine, heart failure, heartworm, flea and tick, motion sickness, and seizures.
In addition, prescriptions — except those that require refrigeration — are available for home delivery through ScriptDrop, if located within a 5-mile radius of the pharmacy for a fee of $5, the Lakeland, Fla.-based retailer said.
Those who want to transfer their pet prescriptions need to call their nearest Publix Pharmacy as prescription transfers cannot be initiated through ScriptDrop’s delivery service.
