CINCINNATI — UC Health, the affiliated health system of the University of Cincinnati, and The Little Clinic have announced a clinical collaboration to provide consumers with improved access to healthcare services with UC Health supporting The Little Clinic locations inside 18 Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, area Kroger stores.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark posted “solid” results during its third quarter, and its MinuteClinic business was no exception.

During the quarter ended Sept. 30, the retail clinic business enjoyed revenue growth of 18%.

From a comp perspective, MinuteClinic has, most recently, been comping in the teens to low 20s, Dave Denton, EVP, CFO, controller and chief accounting officer, told analysts during the company’s third-quarter conference call Tuesday morning.

NEW YORK — As the implementation of healthcare reform looms, Kroger is sharpening its focus on health care by not only stocking its shelves with healthier food options but also is gearing up to add 50 Little Clinic locations next year, according to published reports.

DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreens’ Health Clinics have received accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, the company has announced.

The accreditation is a symbol of quality recognizing that each Healthcare Clinic meets AAAHC requirements, embodying best practices and operating in compliance with nationally recognized standards of care. Specifically, the accreditation distinguishes Healthcare Clinics at select Walgreens as delivering high-quality care in an environment that promotes patient safety.

NEW YORK — Keeping counterfeit and diverted drugs out of the U.S. drug supply chain will require closing vulnerable regulatory gaps that risk letting them in, according to a new report by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark has announced that the first MinuteClinic locations in Northern California and the Bay Area have now opened inside select CVS/pharmacy stores in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.  

Three MinuteClinic locations are now operating in Foster City, San Jose and Sunnyvale CVS/pharmacy stores. Four additional clinics will begin to treat patients in November in Burlingame, Campbell, Mountain View and Santa Clara.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark has opened eight new MinuteClinic locations in Louisiana, the company said Wednesday.

CVS said it opened the clinics inside CVS/pharmacy stores in Baton Roughe, Mandeville, Slidell and Thibodaux, with plans to open four more in New Orleans, Metairie, Prairieville and Kenner. The openings make Louisiana the 27th state in which MinuteClinic operates.
