Rite Aid’s Thrifty Ice Cream Brand — a longtime standby brand for Californians — is expanding its reach into five Northeastern states. Rite Aid on Monday said that select stores in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania would be stocking the brand’s ice cream in 48-oz. containers in up to eight flavors.
The eight flavors include butter pecan, chocolate chip, Chocolate Malted Krunch, Cookies ‘n Cream, mint chocolate chip, pistachio nut, rocky road and vanilla.
“Thrifty Ice Cream is an iconic brand that has been enjoyed for nearly 80 years,” said Bill Renz, senior vice president, category management, Rite Aid. “Offering Thrifty Ice Cream in select stores in the Northeast is something we’re doing for our customers to ensure that more generations of ice cream lovers experience this one-of-a-kind ice cream brand.”
