  • Rite Aid Q2 revenues up 4.8% to $8 billion

    CAMP HILL, Pa. - Rite Aid on Thursday reported a revenues increase of 4.8% to $8 billion for its second quarter ended Aug. 27. The Pennsylvania chain also recorded net income of $14.8 million, or 1 cent per diluted share, adjusted net income of $35.5 million, or 3 cents per diluted share and adjusted EBITDA of $312.7 million, or 3.9% of revenues.

  • Rite Aid Foundation awards $1.8 million in first round of Folds of Honor scholarships

    Camp Hill, Pa. - The Rite Aid Foundation announced Monday that more than 400 students have been named recipients of Folds of Honor educational scholarships through its KidCents program. Totaling more than $1.8 million, this is the first round of scholarships to be awarded as part of The Rite Aid Foundation's previously announced three-year, $6 million commitment to Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization based in Owasso, Okla., dedicated to providing educational scholarships to children of fallen or disabled service members.  

  • Walgreens Boots Alliance provides update on Rite Aid deal

    DEERFIELD, Ill. – Following discussions with the Federal Trade Commission regarding its proposed acquisition of Rite Aid, Walgreens Boots Alliance on Thursday announced the company expected its store divestiture requirement to exceed the previously announced 500 stores expected, but will still fall short of 1,000 stores.

    The use of homeopathic medicines as part of a self-care solution to treat such ailments as the common cold or back pain is becoming more and more commonplace through conventional channels. While a Harvard survey on the use of homeopathy published earlier this year in the American Journal of Public Health revealed that only 2.1% of U.S. adults have used homeopathy in the past 12 months, conventional outlets including Walmart, CVS Health and Rite Aid command 86.5% of the homeopathic dollar share, according to SPINSscan (powered by IRI).

  • Rite Aid makes naloxone available without Rx in 13 states

    CAMP HILL, Pa. - Rite Aid announced Mondy that naloxone, a medication that can be used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, is now available at their pharmacies in 13 states without a prescription, subject to state regulations.

  • Rite Aid Foundation donates additional $50K for Baton Rouge flood relief

    CAMP HILL, Pa. — In the aftermath of floods in Baton Rouge, La., the Rite Aid Foundation on Friday announced an additional donation to the American Red Cross Louisiana Capital Area to help with flood relief efforts there. This donation follows the foundation’s Aug. 15 donation of $50,000. 
     
    The Rite Aid Foundation’s donation will go toward providing 11,000 comfort kits that include personal hygiene products and snacks for those displaced by the floods. 
     
  • Joint venture to bring co-branded RediClinics to N.J. Rite Aid stores

    CAMP HILL, Pa and WALL, N.J. — A new joint venture between RediClinic and Hackensack Meridian Health is bringing co-branded community care clinics to Rite Aid stores in the Garden State, the two companies announced Tuesday. The joint venture will see 10 Hackensack Merdian Health RediClinics open at Rite Aid locations in Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties, the first of which will open later this year.
