Sweet Earth Foods expands plant-based Mindful Chik’n offerings

Sweet Earth Foods’ Mindful Chick’n Strips line is growing.

New to the Moss Landing, Calif.-based company’s roster are three new ready-to-eat seasoned launches.

Featuring globally inspired marinades, the products are vegan, nutrient-dense and contain at least 13 g of protein and 4 g of fiber, the company said.

“Sweet Earth has always made it a priority to innovate and develop new, delicious plant-based foods that people can enjoy at a variety of occasions,” Sara Wheeler, Sweet Earth general manager said. “We’re eager to meet the growing consumer demand for quick and flavorful plant-based alternatives. This expansion of Sweet Earth’s popular Mindful Chik’n line builds on our legacy of leading with variety.”

The latest Mindful Chick’n launches include:

  • Shredded Seasoned Chick’n, which consists of plant-based chick’n tossed in a carnitas-style marinade;
  • Seasoned Chipotle Chick’n Strips, which are plant-based chick’n strips that have been tossed in a chipotle marinade; and
  • Shredded Korean Style BBQ, which features shredded plant-based chick’n tossed in a Korean-BBQ marinade.

“Given the rise of consumers cooking from home this past year and their craving for new twists to recipes they know and love, the chik’n options are a key way for flexitarians incorporate plant-based options into their at-home cooking,” added Wheeler. “These latest products are really versatile, in that they can be incorporated hot or cold into a variety of meals, including salads and appetizers, pasta, pizzas, rice bowls and sandwiches.”

Consumers can find Sweet Earth Foods’ new Mindful Chick’n launches, which retail for $7.99, at such retailers as Whole Foods Market, Meijer, H-E-B, Ahold and Sprouts among others.
