Takis levels up the spice with snack nuts

Takis is taking its spice beyond the tortilla chip aisle.

New to the brand’s portfolio are Hot Nuts, which feature double crunch technology that allows the well-known Taki spice to be added into each and every bite, the Coppell, Texas-based company said.

“The opportunity to once again disrupt the market of salty snacks by bringing Takis unmatched intensity and flavor to the snack nuts category is something we could not pass up,” Sandra Peregrina, marketing manager for Takis snacks said. “We know Takis brings excitement through intensity for our fans looking for an explosion of flavor, so we’re thrilled that our iconic brand can continue to satisfy snacking needs in an entirely new way.”

Available in three options, consumers can choose from:

• Fuego, the spiciest of the bunch contains a hot chili pepper and lime flavor;
• Flare, a milder take with chili pepper lime flavors; and
• Smokin’ Lime, which is the mildest of the group and has a smoky chipotle and lime taste.

Takis fans can find the newly launched Hot Nuts at retailers nationwide.
