Late holiday shoppers can get discounts, as well as same-day pickup or delivery, through Christmas Eve at Target.
The discount giant is running two new sets of last-minute holiday discounts, one from Dec. 16 to 17 and one from Dec. 18 to 24. Target is offering late holiday deals across product categories including clothing and accessories, footwear, appliances, shoes, seasonal trees and décor, video games, and toys.
In addition, even after it's too late for shipping, customers can use the retailer's same-day fulfillment services — order pickup, drive-up and same-day delivery with the Shipt platform — to obtain online purchases the same day, no membership required.

Customers can place order pickup and drive-up orders before 6 p.m. local time on Saturday, Dec. 24, and collect their items within a couple of hours, no pickup window or membership required.
They can also place orders via same-day delivery with Shipt before 4 p.m. local time on Saturday, Dec. 24, and have goods delivered in as soon as 1-2 hours. A $35 order minimum is required. Deliveries are free for Shipt members or $9.99 per order for customers without a Shipt membership. Most Target stores close at 8 p.m. local time on Dec. 24 and reopen at their regular time on Dec. 26.
Target kicks off holiday promotion early, extends it late
Target started up its holiday savings season three weeks earlier in 2022 than in 2021, launching its annual its holiday “Deal Days” omnichannel sale Oct. 6-8 and Weeklong Black Friday Deals and Deal of the Day seasonal promotions on Oct. 10. The discounter’s decision to target late holiday shoppers has data justifying it. According to analysis from Sensormatic Solutions, the busiest shopping days of the 2022 holiday season include three days included in “Very Merry Deals”: Saturday, December 17 – Super Saturday (#4), Sunday, Dec. 18 (#9), and Wednesday, Dec. 21 (#10).
Amazon, a top competitor of Target, is also offering last-minute holiday shoppers an array of special discounts with its “Very Merry Deals” promotion lasting through Dec. 21.
