Thermo Fisher Scientific is making ImmunoCAP Specific IgE tests available to more patients across the United States. The ImmunoCAP tests are now available to patients at all Kroger Health The Little Clinic locations through a blood draw taken on-site.

The ImmunoCAP-specific IgE regional respiratory profiles now offered at The Little Clinic require one blood draw analyzed at an offsite clinical laboratory. These tests are not new to the industry and are backed by 50+ years of research and development. This expansion into The Little Clinic sites will help more patients take actionable preventative health steps to mitigate their allergies.

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America estimates that more than 100 million Americans experience various types of allergies each year, with allergies being the sixth leading cause of chronic illness in the United States. Therefore, identifying potential allergic triggers is important in managing patients presenting with upper and lower respiratory symptoms.

"Discovering the actual cause of allergy-like symptoms is vital to empowering patients to address their condition from a preventative medicine standpoint, allowing a more personalized management plan," said Gary Falcetano, scientific affairs manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific. "Adding trusted and accurate ImmunoCAP testing to all The Little Clinic locations will enable clinicians to help many more patients get the answers they need to proactively manage their health."

These clinicians can deliver personalized care through low-cost treatment, screening and diagnostic services. Offering the ImmunoCAP blood test in local communities is one more service that makes health care accessible and convenient to patients, the company said.

Documented in more than 4,000 peer-reviewed publications and referenced in global health guidelines, ImmunoCAP blood tests can help identify allergic sensitization to common environmental allergensseasonal and perennial, indoor and outdoor, the company said.
