Thrifty White Pharmacy receives URAC specialty pharmacy reaccreditation

Thrifty White Pharmacy, an employee-owned retail, long-term care and specialty pharmacy announced that its specialty pharmacy has been reaccredited under URAC’s Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation 4.0 standards.

By achieving this status, Thrifty White has demonstrated a comprehensive commitment to quality care, improved processes and better patient outcomes, according to the pharmacy.

“Receiving URAC’s Specialty Pharmacy Reaccreditation further validates our comprehensive specialty pharmacy model and support program. It not only shows our commitment to patient care but that we’ve been meeting these standards over the last six years.” said Jeremy Faulks, vice president of pharmacy operations at Thrifty White. “We are committed to delivering quality care and a better solution for patients who value their local pharmacist relationship.” Alongside this commitment, over the last seven years, Thrifty White’s specialty pharmacy has delivered growth rates exceeding thee times industry averages.

For more than 10 years, Thrifty White has put a focus on expanding its specialty pharmacy solutions, creating a model leveraging centralized specialty expertise, including programs run by certified specialty pharmacists, as well as trusted community pharmacy locations. This ability to offer face-to-face pharmacist interaction has been proven to increase adherence and persistency, ultimately leading to better therapy outcomes. They offer local specialty medication pickup, specialized counseling, and device and injection training across 100 community pharmacy locations, in addition to home delivery services reaching all 50 states.
