Unilever expands its ice cream offerings with new launches

New ice cream flavors from Unilever’s top brands are hitting shelves.

Yes, that is correct. New innovations from Breyers, Good Humor, Klondike, Magnum Ice Cream, Popsicle and Talenti Gelato and Sorbetto are hitting the frozen aisle in time for 2021.

“Unilever’s ice cream portfolio includes iconic and beloved brands. When creating new products, we look at key trends and what consumers want in their treats to ensure we’re creating innovative flavors and expanding the variety of product shapes and sizes that our fans will love,” Russel Lilly, vice president of Unilever Ice Cream North America said. “We are always looking to develop products that bring joy to ice cream fans everywhere and are excited to launch such a diverse range of new creations this year.”

New launches from Breyers include:

  • Chocolate Pretzel Swirl, which hits shelves in February, contains a chocolate base, pretzel swirl and chunks of chocolate chips mixed throughout;
  • Double Chocolate Brownie Batter, which combines Breyers’ classic chocolate with a brownie batter swirl and brownie dough pieces mixed throughout;
  • CarbSmart Chocolate Chip, which contains a chocolate base and chunks of chocolate chips;
  • CarbSmart Mint Chip, which features a mint base with chunks of chocolate chips mixed throughout;
  • CarbSmart Coffee Cookie Crunch, which contains a coffee-flavored base with chocolate cookie bits;
  • CarbSmart Vanilla, which features its classic vanilla taste;
  • Reese’s Peanut Butter Snack Cups, which combine Breyers’ peanut butter ice cream with Reese’s peanut butter chips;
  • Non-Dairy Mint Chocolate Chip, which contains a mint base with chocolate chips mixed throughout;
  • Non-Dairy Chocolate Chip, which features a chocolate base with chocolate chips swirled throughout; and
  • Coconut Fudge Breeze, a seasonal launch that combines a coconut frozen base with a fudge swirl and flakes of shredded coconut.

New additions coming to the Good Humor and Klondike families include:

  • Good Humor Vanilla Viennetta, which features a vanilla base sandwiched between layers of chocolate in a cake shape; and
  • Klondike Wake Me Up Coffee Donuts, which contain a dark chocolate hard shell with a white confectionary drizzle and coffee flavor made from 100% Arabica Colombian coffee.

The Magnum Ice Cream brand also has several new innovations hitting shelves, including:

  • Mini Dark Chocolate Truffle Bar, which contains a dark chocolate ganache sauce that has been swirled through dark chocolate ice cream and dipped in a dark chocolate shell;
  • Mini Berry Truffle Bar, which features a dark chocolate ganache sauce swirled through strawberry ice cream and dipped in a dark chocolate shell;
  • Double Chocolate Vanilla Truffle Bar, which contains a dark chocolate ganache sauce that has been swirled through vanilla ice cream and dipped in a milk chocolate shell; and
  • Double Red Velvet, which features a chocolate ganache sauce that has been swirled throughout cream cheese ice cream and topped with red velvet cake crumbles and white chocolate pieces.

When it comes to the Popsicle brand, fans can be on the lookout for:

  • The Mango, Strawberry and Vanilla Swirl Fruit Twisters, which contains a mango puree twirl and nonfat milk around a frozen strawberry core;
  • Minions Popsicles, which feature a combination of strawberry banana and blue raspberry; and
  • Spider-Man Popsicles, which combines strawberry, blue raspberry and lime flavors.

Last, but certainly not least is the Talenti Gelato and Sorbetto line, which will launch:

  • Confetti Cookie Gelato Layers, which combines vanilla gelato, vanilla cookie pieces, pink frosting and rainbow sprinkles;
  • Strawberry Shortcake Gelato Layers, which features five layers of strawberry gelato, shortbread pieces and a strawberry rhubarb sauce;
  • Cookies and Cream Gelato Layers, which contains cookies and cream and vanilla gelato, a layer of dulce de leche and pieces of chocolate cookies and cookie crumbs;
  • Chocolate Pretzel Gelato Layers, which launches in February, combines pretzel and vanilla gelato bases, waffle cone pieces and a salted pretzel sauce;
  • Honey Graham Gelato, which contains vanilla gelato drizzled with wildflower honey and mixed with golden graham cracker pieces; and
  • Peanut Butter Vanilla Swirl Gelato, which combines vanilla gelato with a peanut butter swirl and mini peanut butter cups mixed throughout.
