Vizuri's new PainBloc24 Flexi-Stretch tape makes pain relief flexible

Vizuri Health Sciences Consumer Healthcare’s PainBloc24 brand is rolling out a new, flexible way to tackle pain relief. The PainBloc24 Flexi-Stretch Pain Tape combines a four-way stretch patch inspired by kinesiology tape with 4% lidocaine to help numb pain.

“The feedback that we hear most is surprise at how comfortable and flexible it is, and that you must try it to understand how great it works,” said Elise Donahue, president and CEO of VHS Consumer Healthcare. “We think this is the perfect pain relief solution for anyone with an active lifestyle or who suffers from pain anywhere in their body.”

The company said that the tape’s fabric allows it to be particularly lightweight, thin and breathable, with a proprietary dry adhesive technology that can stay in place for up to 12 hours on moving joints, even during exercise. The lidocaine amount used in the product is the maximum strength allowed by the Food and Drug Administration without a prescription.

“You just don’t get this kind of flexibility and adherence with most traditional patches,” Donahue said. “It’s so lightweight, you don’t even realize it’s there. For people who use patches, topical creams or even pills to relieve their pain, this is truly innovative.”

The PainBloc24 Flexi-Stretch Pain Tape, which comes in packages of 10 pre-cut strips at a suggested retail price of $14.99, has launched nationwide at 3,000 Walgreens stores and other retailers, as well as on Amazon.com.
