Walmart opens 4th Georgia Walmart Health location

Walmart has added another Walmart Health location next to its Supercenter in Newnan, Ga. The location marks the fourth Walmart Health center in Georgia, which offer primary care, urgent care, labs, x-rays, diagnostics, dental and hearing services in a single facility at transparent and affordable prices for both insured and uninsured patients.

“As we expand across Georgia, we are committed to bringing our communities quality healthcare, and we are excited to offer Newnan specialized community health resources, online education and in-center workshops to educate the community about preventative health and wellness,” said Marcus Osborne, senior vice president of Walmart Health. “As we focus on expanding the services and locations of Walmart Health to provide the affordable, integrated care our customers want and deserve, the first physical therapy practice will be opened adjacent to Walmart Health Newnan.”

In addition to the four Georgia locations, Walmart Health has opened one location in Arkansas and has announced plans to move into Florida in 2021. The retailer debuted Walmart Health in September 2019 in Dallas, Ga. The clinics are staffed by medical professionals that include physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists, behavioral health providers and optometrists, as well as Walmart Care Hosts and community health workers who help patients navigate their visit.

“As a member of the Newnan community, I am excited about Walmart Health, which will help our customers continue to save money and live better by taking care of their health,” said Hollis Watts, store manager for the Newnan Supercenter. “Thank you to the Newnan associates who continued to serve customers and work hard through these changes – we can’t wait for the community to experience it for themselves.”

The Supercenter itself has been remodeled, including a revamped vision center and pharmacy.
