Walmart is inviting communities to embrace a healthier lifestyle this year by joining them for the first Wellness Day of 2025 on Saturday, Jan. 11.

At Wellness Day, customers can receive a variety of free health screenings including glucose, cholesterol, body mass index and blood pressure as well as immunizations like flu, COVID-19, HPV, mumps, measles and more at nearly 4,600 pharmacies nationwide. Select stores also will feature vision screenings, in-store giveaways and demonstrations of wellness products.

“A new year brings opportunities for a fresh start, and we want to support people on their health journeys,” said Kevin Host, senior vice president of pharmacy at Walmart. “Our Wellness Day events allow customers and patients to check in on their health in an affordable and convenient way while also encouraging meaningful connections with our highly skilled pharmacy teams.

Wellness Day also offers a chance for families to chat with pharmacists about topics like maintaining a healthy lifestyle, medications, recommended vaccinations and more. Pharmacists can discuss nutrition recommendations during pregnancy and beyond, like the importance of folic acid and its impact on a growing baby’s development.

Walmart pharmacies in 21 states also can provide high-quality testing and same-day treatment for strep, flu or COVID-19. Additionally, Walmart now carries combined COVID-19 and Flu A/B home tests, available over the counter. These tests can detect both COVID-19 and Flu A/B allowing families to understand when it’s more important to seek further care.

Walmart Wellness Day events include the following health resources, administered by pharmacy and Vision Center teams:

  • Free health screenings: Glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, BMI, vision screenings (select locations) and others.
  • Affordable immunizations: Flu, COVID-19, measles, mumps, pneumonia, tetanus, HPV, rubella (MMR), varicella (chicken pox/shingles), whooping cough (TDAP), Hepatitis A & B and more.
  • Wellness resources and the opportunity to talk with pharmacists.
