Applegate, best known for its natural and organic meats, is expanding with a line of blended burgers, meatballs, ham and charcuterie.

New to the Bridgewater, N.J.-based company’s lineup is its Well Carved collection, designed for consumers who are mindful of their meat intake.

Featuring products that range from burgers and meatballs that are combined with organic vegetables, legumes and grains, Well Carved offerings will launch this spring.

Items include:

  • Well Carved Burgers come in two options: a grass-fed organic beef burger that contains cauliflower, spinach, lentils and butternut squash; and an organic turkey burger with sweet potato, great northern bean, kale and roasted onion;
  • Well Carved Meatballs also come in two options: an organic Asian-style pork meatball that contains brown rice, green onion, carrot and parsley; and an organic Mediterranean-style turkey meatball with lentils, feta cheese and spinach;
  • Slow Cooked Ham, which does not contain sugar, artificial ingredients or chemical nitrates, is Whole30 Approved; and
  • Chorizo Charcuterie Plate, which is gluten-free, features uncured chorizo salami, medium cheddar cheese and milk chocolate-covered grain-free pretzels.

“People love meat and they aren't going to simply stop eating it, nor should they have to, regardless of how many highly-processed soy or pea-based burgers you put on the market,” John Ghingo, president of Applegate, said. “Well Carved offers an easy way for consumers to enjoy the real, clean meat they crave, while also reducing overall consumption. The Well Carved line shows that better meat is possible.”
