Arm & Hammer rolls out hypoallergenic detergent for babies
Arm & Hammer is aiming to meet the skin care needs of newborns and infants with a new addition to its laundry products.
The Arm & Hammer Baby Hypoallergenic Liquid Laundry Detergent is free from harsh chemicals, dyes and preservatives. The detergent is designed to be tough on stains while providing a fresh baby scent, the Ewing, N.J.-based company said.

Pediatrician and dermatologist tested, the liquid detergent is formulated to remove such stains as blueberries, carrots, vegetables and fruit juice, including grape juice, from clothes.
In addition, it contains a formula that is not only delicate enough for a baby’s skin, but made with safer ingredients that meet EPA Safer Choice product standards, the company said.

Made without the use of preservatives, dyes, phosphates, enzymes, phthalates, parabens, optical brighteners or animal-derived ingredients, the detergent works in cold water, is made with 100% certified renewable electricity, is not tested on animals and comes in recycling friendly packaging, the company said.

Arm & Hammer Baby Hypoallergenic Liquid Laundry Detergent is available at Walmart and at select retailers in two sizes with prices ranging from $4.99 to $8.99.
