Bausch + Lomb enters pet health care space
Bausch + Lomb is entering the pet healthcare realm with a brand-new collection of products for canines — Project Watson.
Specifically formulated to help support dogs’ eyes, ears and overall well-being, the collection uses high-quality and naturally inspired ingredients, the Vaughan, On.-based company said.
“For nearly two centuries, Bausch + Lomb has been associated with many of the most significant advances in eye health. Building on our eye care expertise and history in surgical solutions for veterinarians, we created Project Watson to help address the unmet healthcare needs of dogs,” said Joe Gordon, president of global consumer, surgical and vision care at Bausch + Lomb. “Developed in collaboration with veterinarians, Project Watson focuses on dogs’ eyes and ears — important areas that are often overlooked in the health of our beloved four-legged family members. Project Watson products will begin rolling out online in certain retailers beginning next month.”

Project Watson’s full line of products includes:
- Eye Wash for Dogs: A gentle, pH-balanced multi-purpose solution formulated to help cleanse irritants and debris from dogs’ eyes;
- Eyelid Wipes for Dogs: A pH-balanced, pre-moistened texture wipe that contains micellar technology that helps cleanse and hydrate the area around the eyes to help remove excess buildup;
- Ear Wash for Dogs: A pH-balanced cleansing solution that is formulated to help support cleaning and care to aid in keeping ears healthy;
- Ear Wipes for Dogs: A gentle pH-balanced premoistened texture wipe that works to help support ear cleaning and care;
- Eye Health Support Supplement for Dogs + Tear Stain Support: A daily chewable supplement that contains seven active ingredients to help promote eye health and reduce tear stains; and
- Eye + Multi-Health Supplement: A daily chewable that contains nine active ingredients to help support key areas of a dog’s health, including eyes, joints, skin, heart and the immune system.

Project Watson’s eye wash and two supplements will be available online and at Chewy, Walmart, PetSmart and Amazon beginning in November. The rest of the remaining products will be available for purchase by the end of the year.
