NEW YORK — The new TouchBack system of temporary hair color from ColorMetrics is hitting drug stores beginning in January, providing beauty mavens with salon-fresh hair color without the salon price.
The collection includes the Touchback Color Shampoo and Color Conditioner, TouchBack with a marker applicator and TouchBack with a wand applicator.
Designed to color between colorings, the Color Shampoo and Color Conditioner adds back color and shine, and is to be used once a week. Designed to be used together — the pair repairs damage and smoothes hair, UVA/UVB sunscreens help protect hair from sun damage, while nourishing moisturizers provide deep hydration. TouchBack is made with natural botanical ingredients, such as extracts of sunflower, chamomile flower, rose hips, green tea leaf and lemon peel. To use, shampoo and condition as usual. Leave the products on the hair for two minutes before rinsing. Lasts through three regular shampoos. It is available in dark brown, medium brown and auburn. It is priced at $19.99.
TouchBack Marker is great for covering gray roots. To use, apply the marker to dry hair. For resistant gray hair, hold the marker on the hair for a few seconds to deposit additional color, which stays until shampooed out.
