Drunk Elephant’s Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser now can be found on Sephora's shelves.
The cleanser, which melts traces of dirt, makeup and sunscreen from the skin, is gentle enough to be used around the eye area and is able to transform from oil to milk upon contact with water, the company said.
In addition, the product comes with a bamboo booster, which should be used once or twice a week as needed, to provide users with a customized exfoliation process that helps keep skin smooth and supple.
“I really wanted something that fit in with my philosophy and that would melt off my eye makeup, so I developed Slaai. Slaai contains incredibly mild, moisturizing plant oils and plant-derived cleansing agents that melt all traces of dirt, sunscreen and makeup, including water-resistant, from skin” Tiffany Masterson, founder of Drunk Elephant, said. “It’s designed to do its job without disturbing your acid mantle, which is really important to me. Slaai keeps the skin barrier healthy and intact, and also leaves a little something behind when it’s done. “You can follow it up with your favorite Drunk Elephant foaming cleanser if you want, though you don’t need to because all of the protective substances Slaai leaves behind are beneficial for skin. As a p.m. makeup/sunscreen/pollution remover, start with Slaai on completely dry skin — super important — massaging all over your face and eye area, then add water and rinse.”
Formulated with antioxidant-rich fruit extracts and oils, an African oil blend of marula, baobab, Kalahari melon, mongongo and ximena, the Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter cleanser does not contain irritant or sensitizers, the company said.
The bamboo booster contains microfine bamboo and baked bamboo charcoal for a light exfoliation that’s gentler than traditional scrub ingredients.
Shoppers can physically or digitally add Drunk Elephant’s Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser to their Sephora carts for the suggested retail price of $34.
