SOLON, Ohio — ECRM has appointed Tony Giovanini as SVP health and beauty care, charged with deepening ECRM’s presence in the HBC industry while initiating and leading business development efforts. He will oversee the HBC team and will report directly to ECRM CEO Greg Farrar.

“Tony’s extensive experience in brand development and sales in the beauty and health care categories will help ECRM take its HBC group to the next level,”  Farrar said. “As a former supplier participant in dozens of EPPS, he’s well-versed in the needs of our buyer and seller communities, and will develop strategic initiatives to add value to our customers.”

Giovanni joins ECRM from SmartShake, a Swedish sports nutrition, shaker and storage solution manufacturer, where he was VP Sales. Before joining SmartShake, he was VP sales and marketing for consumer healthcare start-up STS Health. While at STS Health, Tony launched the AirVita and FluNada brands into mass retail channels. He was responsible for direct sales, building a broker and wholesaler network, sales and trade budget development, competitive analysis, retail and consumer marketing, and channel strategy.

Tony began his career at Revlon, receiving excellent training and building a foundation in the industry. He later went to Aspire Brands (Bonne Bell), where he spent 12 years acquiring additional management and HBC experience while leading a team as VP North American Sales.

ECRM VP health care Judy Ard and SVP beauty Lisa Carrillo will report to Tony and will continue to serve as leads for their respective category teams, the company said.
