Genevieve Berger named head of R&D at Unilever
NEW YORK Unilever has announced the appointment of Genevieve Berger as chief R&D officer.
In the new position, Berger will lead the research and development team at Unilever, one of the world’s leading producers of foods, and home and personal care products. Currently, she is a professor of medicine at Pierre and Marie Curie University and at La Pitie-Salpetriere Teaching Hospital in Paris.
Patrick Cescau, group chief executive officer, said: “I am extremely pleased to be able to welcome Genevieve to my team as an executive member. The contribution she has made to the business as a non-executive was outstanding and served to demonstrate to us how much more she could achieve in a full-time capacity.”
Berger will report directly to Cescau, and will join his executive team.
