HRG to host independent pharmacy workshop for HBW manufacturers

3/12/2015

WAUKESHA, Wis. — Hamacher Resource Group on Thursday announced an educational workshop for consumer packaged goods manufacturers of health, beauty, and wellness products titled "Creating a Winning Channel Strategy: Independent Pharmacy." The workshop will take place May 5-6 at HRG’s office just outside of Milwaukee.

“We’re excited about the evolution of this workshop and the depth of information we’re able to share,” stated Dave Wendland, co-owner and VP HRG. “We’ve always received great feedback from our attendees and know of a few extraordinary outcomes from manufacturer’s attendance, so we’re enthused to kick-off this year’s new program.”

The evening of May 5 will include visits to two local independent pharmacies to provide a better understanding and awareness of the front-end possibilities and challenges; and a dinner where attendees will discuss the visits and their goals for the workshop the next day. The workshop on May 6 includes an overview of the channel landscape as well as specific actions that can be taken to achieve success in this market segment. Wendland, a 23-year veteran of the industry, will share strategies for reaching wholesalers and ultimately earning shelf space in independent pharmacies.

The independent pharmacy workshop is a unique opportunity to glean valuable facts, figures and insights learned during HRG’s 35 years of serving the entire supply chain in the independent pharmacy channel. The visit to two independents the evening before will provide a glimpse of front-end operations, and a relatable frame of reference when discussing the channel the next day. Attendees will also have access to and receive advice from experts who can speak to their specific challenges in one-on-one meetings.

This is the fourth consecutive year HRG has offered their expertise in the independent pharmacy channel through this forum of an interactive workshop. The new agenda, featuring more recent research, and the addition of the pharmacy visits are added dimensions this year.

The early bird discount ends on March 25 and registration closes on April 8, HRG noted. Discounts for multiple attendees from the same company are available.
