Jergens partners with Leslie Mann, releases new moisturizer
NEW YORK — Jergens Skincare on Tuesday announced its partnership with actor and comedian Leslie Mann and the launch of its Wet Skin Moisturizer.
Mann, Jergens’ new brand ambassador, and the new product are part of the company’s “You’re More Than Just a Pretty Face” campaign, which aims to remind women about the importance of skincare.
“The Jergens brand is rooted in creating innovative visible skin enhancements that no other brand is able to offer,” Karen Frank, VP of U.S. Mass and Global Skincare Marketing for Kao USA Inc, said. “We believe that your whole body is beautiful — and that the skin on your body is just as important as the skin on your face.”
The brand said it selected Mann for her relatability and personality.
“When we looked at Leslie’s attributes and how women felt about her, they really related to her,” Frank said. “They love her humor, her attitude, that she was multifaceted.”
The Wet Skin Moisturizer can be applied to wet skin and absorbs “twice the moisturization in half the time," the company said.
The moisturizer is available in the following fragrances:
Nourishing Monoi Oil, which contains a light gardenia, floral scented oil;
Refreshing Coconut Oil, an oil with a beachy, tropical fruit essence; and
Calming Green Tea Oil, a botanical oil formula drawn from mature green tea leaves.
