Madison Reed expands its Ulta Beauty footprint

Fans of Madison Reed products can now head to their nearest Ulta Beauty to shop the brand.

The San Francisco-based company announced a national expansion into more than 1,200 Ulta Beauty locations, where its Radiant hair Color Kits, Color Reviving Gloss, Root Touch Up Powder, Color Protecting Shampoo and Conditioner, and Prime for Perfection products will be on shelves.

“Ulta Beauty’s commitment to hair color and hair care has been unwavering, and they are the undisputed market leader in hair as a result,” Amy Errett, CEO and founder of Madison Reed said. “We have a significant partnership with Ulta Beauty, and we are very proud of that. Our expansion into Ulta Beauty stores nationwide reflects the mutual admiration our companies have and the strong performance of Madison Reed products to date.”

In addition, the brand’s Light Works Balayage Highlighting Kit will also be hitting the beauty retailer’s shelves.

Madison Reed has sold its product at select Ulta Beauty locations since 2017, and after two years of successful collaboration, the brand revealed an exclusive partnership with the beauty retailer both online and in stores, the company said.

The collaboration between the two companies will include a “Madi” chatbot, which uses computer vision to give color recommendations. Guests who are in the physical stores can text a selfie to Madi at 34757, answer a few quick questions and have a color kit recommended.
