Nivea redefines body lotion application

WILTON, Conn. — Beiersdorf’s Nivea is looking to revolutionize the daily skin care routine and transform body care with a new take on moisturizing via the new Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion.

Available on shelf beginning in January, the new in-shower lotion contains three patent-pending formulas that absorb into wet skin in seconds and provide 24 hours of moisturization. The collection will be merchandised in the body lotion aisle.



How it works: Consumers wash with traditional body wash, then apply the new in-shower body lotion to wet skin. They quickly rinse the lotion off, and are ready to go. The formula promises to leave skin soft and smooth, without a sticky lotion feel.



The line is comprised of three variants:

• 
  Hydrating In-Shower Body Lotion with Sea Minerals for normal-to-dry skin;


• 
  Smoothing In-Shower Body Lotion with Shea Butter for dry skin; and


• 
  Nourishing In-Shower Body Lotion with Almond Oil for very dry skin.

Each products has a suggested retail price of $7.99.
