Poo-Pourri pioneers before-you-go toilet spray

Girls don’t poop. At least that’s what we want guys to believe and, thanks to Poo-Pourri, we can still hide the truth.

It has been about seven years since Suzy Batiz created the breakthrough before-you-go toilet spray and, with the help of a highly successful Internet marketing campaign, the brand is enjoying robust growth — doubling each year since its launch.



“We initially launched [our video] as a direct-to-consumer campaign. We didn’t expect for it to be a viral video,” Batiz, CEO of Poo-Pourri, said referring to the hilarious “Girls Don’t Poop” video. “... It has created worldwide, international awareness and success. ... With that, we are one of the top Internet marketing and branding companies in the world because not only are we pioneering before-you-go to the bathroom, but we are pioneering Internet marketing.”



Today, the brand has distribution in about 15 countries, and within the United States is found at such retailers as Ulta Beauty (in the impulse section) and Bed, Bath and Beyond (in personal care).



“The brand makes sense [merchandised] in a lot of places. ... We have been testing different places within the store based on the buyers. The good thing is we have a lot of permanent, in/out displays, clip strips and impulse programs,” Batiz said.
