Sanofi introduces first ACT Kids Toothpaste

4/3/2017

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Sanofi on Monday introduced its ACT Kids Toothpaste, developed for children ages two years and older, the first children’s toothpaste in its ACT oral care portfolio.

“Our hope is that this new product will help motivate kids to brush and inspire parents to further instill healthy oral care habits at an early age,” Sanofi Consumer Health Care associate director of oral care Jennifer Cooper said. The company shared data from a recent Toluna survey in which 56% of moms said they have a hard time getting their kids to brush the teeth, highlighting a need for products that get kids excited about the activity.

The anti-cavity fluoride toothpaste is designed to strengthen and protect developing teeth while fighting cavities, the company said. It will be available in bubble gum and fruit punch flavors, with the fruit punch packaging featuring Batman.

Sanofi said the toothpaste would roll out in Marc-April to such retail locations as select Walmart, Walgreens and Target stores.
