Scunci co-founder helps develop Michael Todd Cosmetics online retailer

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. Online beauty retailer Michael Todd Cosmetics went live Wednesday, offering more than 1,100 beauty products to choose from, as well as expert skin consultations, virtual makeovers, educational "how to" videos, customizable palettes and brand comparisons.

Company chairman Lewis Hendler, co-founder of hair accessory brand Scunci International, worked closely with Michael Todd, a model, artist and actor, on the product line and Web-only concept.

"As an actor and model, Michael was constantly under lights and on camera, where he learned from experience 'what works' when it comes to cosmetics. Together, we concluded that a couture cosmetic collection emphasizing selection, quality and value in an entertaining and interactive format designed to utilize the advantages of the Internet represented a real opportunity and we were eager to work together on the concept," stated Hendler.

The company's premier skin care product is KNU Anti-Aging Tri Complex cream, a three-in-one advanced age management system for skin. Other products includes the "Everything" Stick, an all in one product for lips, eyes and face; Tinted Gel Primer, a mousse-like foundation primer; and Scintillant Illuminator, a vitamin-enriched cream illuminator with silicone to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
