AMITYVILLE, N.Y. — Shea Moisture has unveiled the latest addition to its collection. The new Jojoba Oil and Ucuuba Butter collection for Protective Styling is aimed at preserving the health, texture and length of natural hair while containing no mineral oils, parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol or sulfates, the company said.
All of the new hair styling tools are made with Jojoba Oil which Shea Moisture said hydrates and resists breakage caused by swelling and shrinking as hair gets wet. Ucuuba Butter is another included ingredient that the brand said supports elasticity while improving manageability, while Carrot Seed Oil moisturizes both the hair and scalp to promote hair health and shine.
Shea Moisture said the products can help prepare hair for such protective styles as box braids, cornrows, extensions, and weaves by using these products that address an array of concerns such as breakage and odor. The Jojoba Oil and Ucuuba Butter Laydown Lacquer, which retails for $7.99, is meant to enhance thick hair while protecting its integrity to improve manageability.
