BJ’s Wholesale Club expands footprint in Michigan

Located in Lansing, Mich., the warehouse club chain will feature BJ’s ExpressPay, which allows shoppers to scan their cart and pay for their purchases via the BJ’s app.

BJ’s Wholesale Club is prepping to open a brand new club.

The Westborough, Mass.-based retailer shared that its newest location in Lansing, Mich., will be opening its doors on Jan. 28.

With the opening of this new location, the retailer’s total number of clubs in the United States jumps to 226.

Features of this store include an on-site BJ’s Gas location offering members low fuel prices, including the BJ’s Fuel Saver Program. This new gas location marks the company’s 157th gas station, and will include 12 fuel positions offering regular, premium and diesel fuels, the company said.

“We’re excited to expand our footprint in Michigan, with the opening of our new club in Lansing,” said Nick Salowich, club manager of BJ’s Wholesale Club in Lansing. “We’re looking forward to bringing BJ’s outstanding offerings to Lansing and the surrounding community. We can’t wait for our doors to open on Friday and serve our members and community in this new year.”

Other amenities to be offered include such convenient shopping options as curbside pickup, pick up in club, same-day delivery, delivery from BJs.com and, of course, in-club shopping.

Located at 825 N. Marketplace Blvd., the club will house a vast selection of fresh foods and produce, a full-service deli, household essentials, pet supplies, seasonal items, home décor, fashion for the family, toys, tech, local products and other exclusive offerings, the company said.

In addition, this new store will allow members to use the BJ’s ExpressPay service, which customers can use by scanning their cart and paying for their purchases through the BJ’s app.
