    ORLANDO, Fla. -- Martello has been named the winner of the 2016 ECRM/Drug Store News Buyers Choice Award for its Yummy Spoon, a self-feeding baby spoon designed to help parents easily feed their babies.

  • Kinney Drugs recognized as top National Wear Red Day fundraising company

    GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. – A Gouverneur-based, employee-owned company has bested a Wall Street company to be the No.1 fundraiser nationally for the American Heart Association’s Wear Red Day.

    Kinney Drugs, the drug store division of KPH Healthcare Services, Inc., received this top honor after raising $30,000 during their 2016 Heart Health campaign.  This donation edged out all other companies in the nation, including Wall Street financial firm Morgan Stanley, which ranked #2 with a donation of $29,969. 

  • Oralabs, Bulldog Skincare honored at ECRM personal care show

    Oralabs, a Parker, Colo.-based supplier of personal care products, has been named the winner of the 2016 ECRM/Drug Store News Buyers Choice Award for its Waterless by Gillette Venus female shaver.

    The award was presented during ECRM’s 2016 Personal Care, Grooming, Travel & Oral EPPS held July 10 to 13 in Orlando. London, U.K.-based Bulldog Skincare for Men was the finalist with its Original Beard Oil.

  • Static Nails offer pop-on, pop-off reusable nails

    CHICAGO — Last year, attendees couldn’t stop talking about the winner of the Discover Beauty award at Cosmoprof North America. That company was Static Nails, a reusable artificial nail. Now that talking has turned to purchasing with the line getting exposure in Sephora, Canada’s Murale and HSN. com. Created by Alexis Irene, Static Nails require only five minutes to apply and are easily removed and reusable. According to Irene, the nails can be worn 18 days straight or reapplied up to six separate times.

    PITTSBURGH — Giant Eagle Pharmacy has received full Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation from URAC, a Washington, D.C.-based independent, nonprofit healthcare accrediting organization that assesses quality standards for the healthcare industry.

  • DSN names Eder associate publisher

    Drug Store News has named Rob Eder associate publisher effective Aug. 2, the company announced Tuesday.

    Eder, who will retain his title as editor in chief, will continue to lead content development for DSN print and electronic media, and will take an advanced role in live events, trade relations and new business development.

Through the company’s Pharmaceutical Distribution supply chain, Cardinal Health consolidates product orders from hundreds of manufacturers into pharmacy-specific deliveries for 33,000 retail, hospital and alternate-site locations.

    Not resting on its laurels, the Cardinal Health distribution supply chain continues to focus on efforts to protect the supply chain and manage drug shortages.

  • MSI franchisees recognized for excellence at Cardinal Health RBC 2016

    Standing in the Chicago Cultural Center underneath the largest Tiffany glass dome in the world, Cardinal Health VP Medicine Shoppe International, Inc. John Fiacco presented seven Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy and Medicap Pharmacy franchisees with Operational Excellence, Clinical Innovation and Professional Achievement awards. He also named the MSI Franchisee of the Year.
