Calypso’s lemonades take a lighter route

Calypso is expanding its portfolio with a line of light lemonades.

The new Calypso Light launch is available in four flavors — original lemonade, ocean blue lemonade, strawberry lemonade and southern peach lemonade.  

“We’re passionate about our island-inspired drinks, and we love watching our community unwind, relax and experience a mini ‘vacation in a bottle,’” David Klavsons, CEO of King Juice Company, said. “Launching just in time for summer, the light line is perfect for sugar and carb-conscious consumers; we created these drinks to help more people enjoy all the delicious flavors Calypso is known for, regardless of their diets or health needs.”

In addition, each 16-fl-oz. bottle contains 0 g of sugar and only 5 calories, the company said.

Those interested in picking up a bottle of Calypso Light, which retails for $1.79, can so beginning in early April at Kroger, and additional retail locations to follow throughout the year.
