  • iWatchz introduces watch bands for iPod Nano

    NEW YORK — A line of watch bands that allows users to sport their iPod Nano like a watch has hit retail.

    iWatchz offers nine collections of Nano watch bands, all of which tout the iWatchz patent-pending clip system, offering a snug and secure fit for the iPod Nano. The bands range from vibrant silicone to soft-touch leather to stainless steel links to cater to every style-conscious music lover, the company said.

    Retailing for $24.99 and up, iWatchz Nano watch bands are available at various stores, including Target, Apple, Best Buy, Amazon.com and iWatchz.com.

  • Hannah Coan joins Nestle USA

    GLENDALE, Calif. — Nestle USA announced that it has appointed a new VP corporate and brand affairs following the retirement of executive Laurie MacDonald.

    MacDonald, who worked at the company since 1985, will be replaced by Hannah Coan, who joins the company from Waggener Edstrom Public Relations, where she led communications for Microsoft's office division. In her new role, Coan will be responsible for Nestle USA's internal and external communications, public affairs and the Nestle USA Culinary Center based in Glendale, Calif.

    BRANCHBURG, N.J. — A consumer electronics cleaning products brand has tapped a former National Football League linebacker to serve as its brand ambassador.

    Dust-Off said Carl Banks will use his knowledge of brands and experience as a Super Bowl champion to help Dust-Off establish new retail partnerships and grow their marketing avenues for the screen cleaning line. Dust-Off can be used on such consumer electronics as HDTVs, netbooks, navigation systems, MP3 players, digital cameras and more.

  • Working for that photo finish

    Photo finishing should grow through 2015, even as consumers embrace mobile devices and other means of sharing and viewing their photos, predicted a recent study from InfoTrends. Most of the growth should come from custom gifts, such as photo cards, books and calendars, according to the “InfoTrends U.S Online Photo Services Forecast: 2010-2015” report. Look for emerging new product categories, such as posters and photo panels, to provide growth in the segment.
