  • New frozen treats from Breyers, Popsicle, Klondike enter market

    ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — A new set of sweet treats from Unilever brands Breyers, Popsicle and Klondike is making its way to the frozen food aisle this summer.

    The Breyers Blasts! line now includes eight new varieties that each feature candy and cookie brands, such as Mrs. Fields and Whoppers. The flavors are available for a suggested retail price from $3.50 to $4.99.

  • Haagen-Dazs savors flavor experience

    OAKLAND, Calif. — As the weather heats up, new one-of-a-kind creations from Haagen-Dazs have made their way to the frozen food aisle.

    Haagen-Dazs' lineup includes new flavors of ice cream, sundae cones, frozen yogurt, sorbet and cups. The company said the new offerings were inspired by flavor experiences, such as a slice of holiday pie, a trip to India and more.

    Haagen-Dazs' newest ice cream flavors, which include caramel apple pie, blueberry crumble, cranberry pumpkin spice, sweet chai latte and spiced peach crumble, retail for $4.69 per 14-oz. carton.

  • Dr. Sears Family Essentials introduces new Popumz flavors

    IRVINE, Calif. — A line of popped whole grain crisps has expanded to include three new varieties.

    Dr. Sears Family Essentials' Popumz now includes barbecue, ranch and cheddar varieties. The all-natural crisps are packed with protein, fiber and omega-3 DHA, the company said. The new flavors join the current lineup of sweet Popumz flavors of chocolate, vanilla and caramel.

    The new Popumz crisps will retail for $3.99 per box of five 0.75-oz., single-serve bags.

  • Mini Babybel introduces white cheddar, sharp original flavors

    CHICAGO — The Laughing Cow's brand of portion-controlled snack cheeses are available in two additional flavors.

    The company's Mini Babybel line now includes white cheddar and sharp original varieties. Both cheeses are packaged in wax wrapping for on-the-go convenience.

    Mini Babybel's line includes original, light, Gouda, cheddar and bonbel cheeses.

    CHICAGO — Nathan's Famous has introduced Angus beef hot dogs for the grilling season.

    "Consumers love Angus beef, and now they can choose Nathan's Famous hot dogs made from all Angus beef, too," said Janet Sweeney, marketing director for Specialty Foods Group, which handles retail sales for Nathan's Famous hot dogs. "It's all about giving consumers the choices they want as we kick off the grilling season."

    DENVER, Colo. — Suncore Products said that its new cookie brand touts 20 essential vitamins and minerals, as well as dietary fiber.

    WhoNu? cookies, which are available in soft and chewy chocolate chip, crispy chocolate chip, chocolate sandwich creme and vanilla sandwich creme varieties, claim to deliver 3 g of fiber and 20% or more of the daily allowance of calcium; vitamins A, B12, C, D and E; and iron in each three-cookie serving.
