Better Chip announces new varieties

2/24/2014

LOS ANGELES — The Better Chip, a snack chip company, on Monday announced that it is introducing two new flavors — Beet and Chipotle — both of which are inspired by popular culinary trends, according to the company. The new chip varieties will be available in the deli section of more than 10,000 grocery outlets across the nation.

"At the Better Chip, we wanted to create a great tasting tortilla chip in bold flavors that snackers can enjoy right out of the bag or with their favorite dips," said Andrea Brule, VP and general manager of the Better Chip. "Beet and Chipotle stuck out as really powerful flavors that are on trend with the current dining scene, and we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our favorite holiday than by releasing our two new flavors on National Tortilla Chip Day."

Other varieties currently in the Better Chip lineup include Jalapeno, Spinach and Kale and Corn. The new Beet and Chipotle flavors will replace Sweet Onions with White Cheddar and Red Pepper with Salsa Fresca, which will be retired in 2014.
