Hostess rolls out new sweet-and-salty confection

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Hostess Brands is introducing a new flavor that it says will win favor with dessert fanatics across the nation. The brand’s new Sea Salt Caramel flavor will be available in both CupCakes and Zingers. The treats will appear on store shelves nationwide beginning now through July 31. 


 


The Sea Salt Caramel CupCakes are made of yellow cake with a caramel creme filling. It’s then iced with caramel frosting and then finished with the brand’s “Original Squiggle.” The Sea Salt Caramel Zingers feature creme filling, topped with caramel and covered in a layer of chocolate. Both confections are topped with sea salt to deliver the sweet-and-salty flavor profile.
