Mars launches better-for-you snack option

MCLEAN, Va. — The newest innovation from Mars in the better-for-you space is goodnessknows snack squares, part of a long-term commitment from the company to promote health and well-being — and introduce more choices for consumers.

Goodnessknows is crafted with whole nuts, real fruit, toasted oats and dark chocolate, and is divided into four snackable squares — all for 150 calories. The product contains no artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners. One individual, two-bite square contains about 40 calories.



“Healthier ways to snack are important right now, and people want it all when it comes to taste, convenience and nutrition,” said Kerry Cavanaugh, senior brand director for the goodnessknows brand. “This puts goodnessknows squarely at the center of a huge trend.”



Goodnessknows snack squares are available nationwide in three flavors — Cranberry Almond Dark Chocolate, Apple Almond and Peanut Dark Chocolate, and Peach and Cherry Almond Dark Chocolate. Goodnessknows snacks retail for $1.59 to $1.99 per package and $4.99 to $6.99 per five-serving multipack carton.
