M&M's Crispy welcomed back with humorous new ad

1/12/2015

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — M&M's brand on Sunday introduced a new television commercial, which put M&M's Crispy in the spotlight. The candy returned to store shelves after a decade-long hiatus thanks to consumer demand.

The 15-second commercial features M&M's character Red instructing his fellow candy Yellow to "tell our fans" that M&M's Crispy have returned. Yellow takes the cue literally, spreading the message to a series of inanimate fans inside the brand's offices.

The spot made its debut during the 2015 Golden Globes telecast on NBC, as well as online. Accordingo to the brand, the humorous ad is a celebration of the fans who have brought the product back.

"Our fans are the ones who convinced us that M&M's Crispy are so good, we just had to bring them back," said Seth Klugherz, senior director, M&M's Chocolate Candies. "We're so excited to celebrate the return of M&M's Crispy in such a big way, and this new commercial is both a celebration of our existing fans and an invitation for an entirely new generation of consumers to try this delicious product."

M&M's Crispy are available in January at retailers nationwide in singles (1.35 oz.), sharing size (2.83 oz.) and medium laydown bags (9.9 oz.).
