Shop Rite anticipates wave of shoppers for bi-annual Can Can promotion

PLAINVIEW, N.Y. Shop Rite stores are preparing their aisles for the winter Can Can Sale, a massive store-wide reduction in prices that affects any item in a can, the company said Friday.

The promotion includes everything from canned fruits and vegetables to canned soup broth, and also brand-name items such as Hormel Chili, Chef Boyardee pastas and SPAM. Shop Rite’s price for Manwich Sloppy Joe sauce is 10 cans for $7.77, reports said. With coupons, reduced rates are even lower.

Shop Rite has held their bi-annual Can Can sale every year since 1971, the chain reported.
