Smucker cuts prices of Folgers coffees

NEW YORK J.M. Smucker & Co. has cut the prices of four Folgers coffees due to a drop in costs of green coffee beans, the company announced Friday. The price cuts on the newly-acquired Folgers brand products were put into effect immediately.

A spokesperson for Folgers told the international press that Smucker cut the price of Folgers Ground by 10 cents each for10.33-ounce to 11.5-ounce containers, a price cut of about 3.5 percent.

The price of Folgers Gourmet coffees was also slashed by 35 cents for every 10-ounce to 12-ounce container, a price reduction of almost 8 percent.
