    MORRISTOWN, N.J. — Bayer HealthCare's Rid brand is taking its battle beyond lice with the introduction of Rid home lice, bed bug and dust mite spray.

    "Rid is a household name for moms and healthcare professionals, who have dealt with lice, but the same active ingredient that can kill lice and their eggs can now be used for bed bugs," Bayer HealthCare VP U.S. marketing and new business development Barton Warner said.

  • Report: PLCB pulls plug on wine kiosk program

    HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board has halted its wine kiosk program at grocery stores, according to published reports.

    PLCB said it was prompted by a financial dispute with the program's vendor, Simple Brands LLC, which owes the state anywhere between about $800,000 to $1 million.

  • Coca-Cola cuts price of 7.5-oz. mini can

    ATLANTA — Coca-Cola has reduced the price of its mini cans.

    The new recommended pricing for an 8-pack of Coca-Cola mini cans, which are 7.5 oz. each, will reduce the average price for the package to just under $3. This makes the per can cost comparable with that of the typical price of a 12-oz. Coca-Cola can fridge pack.

  • Rockin' Green debuts two new products at expo

    SAN ANTONIO — Rockin' Green has expanded its lineup of cleaning products with two new items.

    The company debuted Melody, an odor neutralizer and air freshener room spray, and Groupies, the brand's new dryer balls that are made with such natural materials as reclaimed potato starch, at the 2011 ABC Kids Expo. The products will make their retail debut in October.
