  • Cardinal Health ranks No. 1 in Gartner's fifth annual Healthcare Supply Chain Top 25

    STAMFORD, Conn. — Cardinal Health ranked No. 1 in Gartner's fifth annual Healthcare Supply Chain Top 25 ranking. Not including health systems, the top 10 included McKesson at No. 5, BD (6), Johnson and Johnson (7), Walgreens (8) and CVS Caremark (9). 

    The Healthcare Supply Chain ranking identifies organizations leading the way in transforming the healthcare value chain to meet new revenue challenges through enhanced service and lower costs with an increasing focus on improved patient outcomes. 

  • MinuteClinic enters New Hampshire, forms new clinical collaboration

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark’s MinuteClinic has expanded to its 28th state with the opening of clinic locations inside select CVS/pharmacy stores in New Hampshire, and the clinic operator also has formed a new clinical collaboration with Dartmouth-Hitchcock, the largest healthcare system in New Hampshire.

    Clinics are now open in Concord and West Lebanon. A Salem clinic will open Dec. 11, and locations in Hampton, Manchester and Nashua will open in early January, the company stated.

  • CVS Caremark Charitable Trust disperses 25 $1,000 grants as a part of CVS Caremark's #GivingTuesday initiative

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — The CVS Caremark Charitable Trust, a private foundation created by CVS Caremark, on Tuesday announced the 25 organizations that will receive $1,000 in grants as a part of CVS Caremark's #GivingTuesday initiative, which invited CVS Caremark colleagues to nominate an organization in their community to receive a grant from the CVS Caremark Charitable Trust.

  • CVS Caremark to acquire Coram infusion business for $2.1B

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark is looking to bolster its specialty pharmacy offerings by acquiring Coram, the specialty infusion services and enteral nutrition business unit of Apria Healthcare Group for approximately $2.1 billion.
     
    Coram provides infusion therapies and nutrition services to more than 20,000 patients each month. Coram cares for patients primarily through home infusion as well as a national network of more than 85 locations, including more than 65 ambulatory infusion suites.

  • Reports: Texas pharmacy school wins CVS Caremark Partner of the Year distinction

    NEW YORK — A pharmacy school in Texas has been named CVS Caremark Partner of the Year, according to published reports.

    The award, which includes a $50,000 check, goes to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center's School of Pharmacy, the Amarillo, Texas Globe-News reported.

    The award is based on a partnership between the school and CVS that goes back more than 15 years, and the company employs more than 60 graduates from the school across Texas. 

  • CVS Caremark appoints Helena Foulkes president of CVS/pharmacy

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark has announced the appointment of Helena Foulkes as president of CVS/pharmacy, effective Jan. 1. She succeeds Mark Cosby, who is stepping down on Dec. 31.

    Cosby has led the company’s retail business since October 2011, including its more than 7,600 retail stores, 19 distribution centers and retail merchandising, supply chain, marketing, real estate, front store and pharmacy operations.

  • CVS Caremark to provide $25K in grants to honor '#GivingTuesday' campaign

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — The CVS Caremark Charitable Trust, a private foundation created by CVS Caremark, will provide $25,000 in grants in honor of #GivingTuesday, a national movement when charities, individuals, schools, businesses and other community organizations will come together on Dec. 3 to create a national day of giving back.
