    PROVO, Utah — Orabrush tongue cleaners have become a case study in Internet marketing success with the brand’s nearly 300,000 Facebook fans and quirky YouTube videos that have attracted more than 40 million views and opened the doors for retail distribution.


    Two years ago, the company produced and posted its first YouTube video with a $500 budget, offering the product for sale online. The videos clearly struck a cord and today, online support has translated into securing space in 16,000 retail locations worldwide, including Walmart and CVS this fall.

  • CVS Caremark's Jim Trappani steps down

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark has confirmed that Jim Trappani, VP merchandising for health care and multicultural, has decided to leave the company.
     
    Grant Pill has assumed the role of VP merchandising for over-the-counter healthcare and store brands.
     
    In addition, Mike McEnany has been promoted to VP merchandising, consumables and multicultural. His most recent role was divisional merchandising manager for consumables.

    NEW YORK — ABC's "Nightline: Late Evening News" on Wednesday aired an exposé on Kentucky's methamphetamine problem, shadowing law enforcement as they made three arrests in a state that employs an electronic tracking system for the over-the-counter ingredient pseudoephedrine. The officers investigated sales made at Walgreens, CVS and Walmart.
