  • Former Supervalu executive joins iControl

    ROCKVILLE, Md. — Mike Jackson was named to the board of directors of iControl Systems USA, where he also will serve in the capacity of senior adviser to iControl president and CEO Tal Zlotnitsky.

    Jackson is a 30-year veteran of Supervalu who retired from the company in late 2009 as president and COO.

    NEW YORK — Nail treatment company Nutra Nail has announced the launch of two new products — Instant Smudge Repair and Flex-Shield nail hardener.

    Nutra Nail Instant Smudge Repair brushes away smudged, nicked, smeared or dented polish. Just brush over the manicure mishap and instantly restore polish to a smooth, shiny finish without removal or reapplication of polish, the company stated.

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — In an effort to further enhance the online experience for its pharmacy benefit management members, CVS Caremark announced it has relaunched Caremark.com.

    The updated website, which boasts improved navigation and easy-to-understand language, is enhanced to provide PBM members a comprehensive destination site that allows them to easily manage their prescription benefits.

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark's Charitable Trust, the private foundation managed by CVS Caremark, has donated $75,000 to the American Red Cross in support of relief efforts in Alabama for communities impacted by tornadoes earlier this week.

  • CVS Caremark to complete acquisition of Universal American's Part D business

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark is expected to complete its acquisition of the Medicare Part D business of Universal American on April 29, the company has announced.

    As previously reported, CVS Caremark will pay Universal American shareholders cash consideration of $1.25 billion plus the excess capital in the entities that operate Universal American's Medicare Part D business, less Universal American's outstanding trust preferred securities, which are being assumed by CVS Caremark.
