Fleur & Bee wants to open up a gateway for consumers who are interested in adding retinol to their beauty routines.

Youth Fairy is a beginner-friendly retinol product that not only allows users to build up a tolerance to retinol, but also allows them to reap the benefits of adding a new step to their skin care routines, the company said.

“Retinol is one of the best-researched skin care ingredients and highly effective at increasing cell turnover, targeting signs of aging and reducing acne,” said Matthias Hug, founder of Fleur & Bee. “Unfortunately, most products on the market are not designed for people new to retinol and are too harsh. Our goal was to create a formula people with sensitive skin or new to retinol can use.”

Made with a small, yet highly effective dose of retinol, .03%, Youth Fairy’s formula also contains more than a dozen antiaging and nourishing botanical and science-backed ingredients, according to the South Pasadena, Calif.-based company.

“Evening primrose oil, aloe vera and squalane help soothe and reduce any potential inflammation caused by introducing retinol into your routine,” Hug said. “We created a formula that is chock full of quality ingredients that work synergistically to deliver results and nourish your skin.”
