BRANCHBURG, N.J. — A consumer electronics cleaning products brand has tapped a former National Football League linebacker to serve as its brand ambassador.

Dust-Off said Carl Banks will use his knowledge of brands and experience as a Super Bowl champion to help Dust-Off establish new retail partnerships and grow their marketing avenues for the screen cleaning line. • Working for that photo finish

Photo finishing should grow through 2015, even as consumers embrace mobile devices and other means of sharing and viewing their photos, predicted a recent study from InfoTrends. Most of the growth should come from custom gifts, such as photo cards, books and calendars, according to the “InfoTrends U.S Online Photo Services Forecast: 2010-2015” report. Look for emerging new product categories, such as posters and photo panels, to provide growth in the segment.

  • Increased performance cleans up in detergents

Laundry detergent manufacturers are betting that consumers will pay more for products that offer increased convenience and better performance. A number of new products that have entered the market recently have brought innovation and excitement to a flat category that hasn’t seen much change in three decades.
