  • Clorox declares quarterly dividend

    OAKLAND, Calif. — Clorox on Tuesday announced that its board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of 60 cents per share on the company's common stock.

    The dividend is payable Feb. 13, 2012, to to stockholders of record on Jan. 26, 2012.

  • Walt Disney Studios to release 'Cinderella,' 'Lady and the Tramp' on Blu-ray

    BURBANK, Calif. — Walt Disney Studios is set to release two of its animated classics on Blu-ray for a limited time.

    "Lady and the Tramp" and "Cinderella" will join Disney's Blu-ray Diamond Collection until Feb. 7, 2012, and fall 2012, respectively. Disney said its diamond-edition titles "boast the highest level of picture and sound; feature groundbreaking, state-of-the-art immersive bonus content; and include unprecedented levels of interactivity, personalization and customization, made possible because of Blu-ray technology."

    CINCINNATI — Downy has expanded its portfolio to include a new in-wash scent booster that allows users to control the amount of scent that gets added to each laundry load.

  • Henkel reports positive Q3, raises outlook

    ROCKY HILL, Conn. — Third-quarter sales for Henkel rose 1.7% over the prior-year period, the company announced in its earnings release.

    Third-quarter sales increased to 4.03 million euros (about $5.53 million). The company also said that after adjusting for foreign exchange, sales improved by 5.7%. Additionally, organic sales — which exclude the impact of foreign exchange and acquisitions/divestments — realized a 6.5% increase.

  • Eastman Kodak, Discount Drug Mart expand in-store photo capabilities

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Eastman Kodak on Friday announced the renewal of its agreement with Ohio-based Discount Drug Mart to be the drug chain’s exclusive supplier of photo finishing technology, products and services.

    Kodak will continue to support Discount Drug Mart’s fleet of Kodak Picture Kiosks and Kodak Adaptive Picture Exchange thermal dry labs.

  • Rite Aid launches revamped photo website

    CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid has launched a new photo website that it said would make ordering prints, photo books, calendars and photo gifts easier, the retail pharmacy chain said Wednesday.

    The company said items ordered through the website, Mywayphotos.riteaid.com, can be mailed to any address or picked up at any Rite Aid store.

  • Ball boosts beverage can portfolio

    BROOMFIELD, Colo. — A beverage can supplier has introduced a new can in the North America market.

    Ball said its 568-mL can (which is about 19.2 oz.) is 100% recyclable and is ideal for energy drinks, teas, alcoholic beverages and other premium products. The can touts a unique size, having the approximate height of a 24-oz. can and the diameter of a 16-oz. can.

    With this introduction, Ball now offers more than 20 can sizes worldwide.

  • M-Edge Accessories rolls out military-inspired iPad covers

    ODENTON, Md. — M-Edge Accessories recently debuted new iPad 2 accessories that show off the devices in military style.

    The military-inspired lineup includes the trench runner series and the recon jacket. The trench runner series of products, which includes a messenger bag, jacket and sleeve, are vintage military style accessories in weathered cotton canvas, while the recon jacket is a ruggedized case designed for the outdoor adventurer, M-Edge Accessories said.
