Giant plans to build a new, approximately 50,000-sq.-ft. store in the Andorra neighborhood of Philadelphia.

“Since the opening of our first Giant in the city in 2011, we’ve been honored to be the grocery store of choice for so many customers across Philadelphia,” said John Ruane, president at Giant. “We can’t wait to become a part of the Andorra community and welcome our new neighbors to their brand-new Giant, where they’ll find the latest amenities and services coupled with great value, the best quality, and friendly team members.”

Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in 2025 subject to obtaining the necessary permits and approvals. Specific store amenities and employment opportunities, as well as opening date, will be shared at a later date.
