With the COVID-19 epidemic continuing in the United States, Grande Cosmetics is doing its part to help those who have been affected.

The beauty brand announced that it will donate a portion of its sales to Feeding America.

Seeing as the CDC and World Health Organization have urged the public to practice social distancing and staying at home, many could find themselves in a difficult situation of obtaining reliable sources of nutrition, the company said.

“I didn't grow up wealthy, and I put myself through college working as a waitress. I know what it takes to be in the service industry, especially as a salon or spa professional whose work includes touching people daily,” said Alicia Grande, CEO of Grande Cosmetics. “I am grateful to those individuals in particular as they helped me get my start in the industry. As I see many of them now suffering, I decided it was my turn to take action and give back — let's help feed America together.”

During this time, Feeding America will focus on supporting those who no longer have access to school meals by expanding emergency food box distribution and supplementing pantries to minimize large gatherings.
